"Donner la vie à l'inerte, faire tout avec rien ou presque rien! "Entre les mains d'Isabelle Léourier, tissus et materiaux de récupération deviennent poupées et figurines pleines de fantaisies. En mai 2018, à l'occasion d'une exposition personnelle au musée de la dentelle de Chantilly, Isabelle Léourier avec humour rend hommage aux "Elégantes Ladies du prix de Diane" du début du 20e siècle. Ces personnages sont inspirés des figurines de mode en cire produites en 1910 par la société Lafitte Désirat.
The thread of history...
"Giving life to the inert, creating everything from nothing or almost nothing!” In the hands of Isabelle Léourier, textiles and repurposed materials become fantasy-filled dolls and figurines. In May 2018, on the occasion of a solo exhibition at the Musée de la dentelle in Chantilly (Chantilly Museum of Lace), Isabelle Léourier paid humorous homage to the “Elegant Ladies of the Diane Prize” from the beginning on the 2Oth century. These characters were inspired by the wax fashion figurines produced in 1910 by the Lafitte Désirat Society.
